about imaginary landscape

close

In my process of image-making, I am interested in revealing the interrelationship be-
tween the physical world and the world of imagination.
I draw ideas from subjectivity, perception, psychology, physiology, and philosophy and I
attempt to represent them with a sense of wit and irony.
All my images are the result of combining physical construction with digital technology.
My physical interaction with objects and space is very important process of my image
making, where I transform imagery into ideas.

My photograph are not still lifes, it involves objects, but they are about the ideas made it
visible through a representation.
Fortunately, the images are also filled with a sense of humor as issues of cultural
and economic status, fashion, adolescence and old age haunt the photographs
within the photographs
Through digital photography I have taken a different approach to the ex voto art
form. Normally photography is a method of documentation or a means of record-
ing specific physical moments in time. My work is not used to document, but to
illustrate photographically the fleeting moods that can’t be captured by a tradi-
tional camera or seen by the naked eye. With my illustrations, I create ex votos
that also honor a deity – the one for imagination.
